pin8fish is a game that’s both impressive and frustrating. The world is beautiful and the stealth gameplay can be satisfying, but the main character is irritating enough to make the story hard to care about, swinging between brooding melodrama and awkward jokes. Navigating the map is a chore, with cluttered markers, awkward terrain, and too much backtracking for simple objectives. Combat still feels floaty and repetitive, the enemy AI is inconsistent, the gear system adds little depth, and performance often stutters in busy areas. It’s worth trying if you’re a big Assassin’s Creed fan or desperate for a Japan setting, but otherwise it’s hard to recommend at full price. 6.5/10
I really want to love and enjoy this game but it's just impossible. After pre-ordering and rage deleting i gave it another chance.. Start was somehow solid but playing at hardest difficulty is so painful due to encountering bug or other sh*t every fight, every damn thing you do. You want to use abilities? Nope sorry i won't work right now without reason. You want to dodge? Yes you can ofcourseeee but you see this 2cm high rock? Too bad now you are stuck and you will probably die. You want to fight with some inner calm? Okay you need milion squre miles for no camera glitch, dodge shit, roll stupidity and even then enemies locked in animation move/slide 3 more meters after your roll 'cause you're fucked and they just want to hit you. Heeey, did you tried our quicktime minigame? Yeeaaah? Fuck you! Shift+LMB will not work either! And things that worked at launch somehow magicaly stopped working.. congrats I know Shadows trying so hard to be skill based game but you know what? F*ck you Ubisoft. I have no problem paying for good game but did you even tried play your own game and see what are you making? What about testing and polishing .. i know CRAZY... For me THE best AC games are still Odyssey and Black Flag. Probably will be for ever 'cause my hopes for Ubi is lost and Shadows is last AC game i play and probably Ubisoft game too... Edit: Sooo i should start with something positive. Game looks really beautiful. Hideout can take a lot of time and makes you wanna buy all cosmetic sh*t, but that's probably all. Most of quests are painfully boring, quest log is bad and i mean really baaaaaaad. Sorting quests for specific location is non-existent. I am so sad i don't record by default 'cause bugs and eroors i encountered.. just wauuu. "Hit box" is retarded and enemies that missing you by meter still hit you. They can sometimes see ya at 50m through wall during blizzard, AI acting strange.. no problem chase you 500m shoot one arrow and than just turn around and don't give a shit. If you want to play this game play it on normal difficulty. You don't need take so serious approach in fights and just rip though them.
GREAT GAME, the gameplay is way better imo than ghost of tsushima BUT the story in tsushima would never be topped by this, but everything with the gameplay in this game ive enjoyed so much to this point and without a doubt my favorite assassins creed game now
overall, this is the type of game I enjoy most; a large, beautiful open world with contracts to tick off the box as you gradually unlock sick outfits and beautiful weapons that incrementally increase your damage numbers. that being said, this game struggles in a number of ways. here are my overall thoughts after getting about halfway through the story. POSITIVES: the world and environment are ridiculously beautiful. i physically cannot stop taking photos of the landscape in the photo mode. the swaying of the trees, grass, the leaves, the beautiful shadows, early-morning fog, the blue of the ocean, it all hits so hard. the only other game i've ever felt so absorbed in the simple act of traversing the world by horse is red dead redemption 2. riding in the rain along the coast as the lightning flashes across the screen is such a peak experience. in addition, the gear and customization is soo good. god the outfits in this game look amazing, not to mention the beautiful weapons. as a character-customization-head, i am immensely satisfied. the stealth is also clearly a massive upgrade over all previous titles, and i enjoy the armor system, though I wish there was a greater variety of weapons or stances (which i hear is partly addressed with the Bo staff). NEGATIVES: i have trouble getting invested in the story because of its lack of linearity, lack of engaging villains, and uninteresting protagonists. i feel that the cutscenes and story dialogue particularly suffer in this game compared to Origins and Odyssey, with many cutscenes lacking weight because of weak voice acting, corny lines, and the awkward facial animation system (which never really bothered me in Origins and Odyssey, since the voice acting and writing were much more compelling and i could mostly ignore it). i'm also very disappointed in the lack of japanese mythology. i felt that origins and odyssey both do a great job shining a light on the religious beliefs and culture of each country, and i was able to learn a lot more about their mythologies, which i don't feel like i'm really getting from japan right now. being able to pray at shrines and learn about high-class customs is nice, but i am missing the mythological aspect. japanese mythological isu would have been so good... overall, i'm really enjoying the gameplay loop of this game, and the world is so beautiful i could probably play it as much as i've played odyssey. even if the story is so weak i can barely stand to watch cutscenes.

Everything is very bad in this game unfortunate , combat system is bad and the story is too long than it need , deflect and dodge mechanic is not accurate , leveling system taking huge effort and not worth , exploring the open world is not rewarded , the Devs force you to spend more time in the game by sending you from point to another point to increase the game experience without enjoying it , and loading screen taking too long time ,,, I did not recommend this bad game to anyone .
After 20 hours it gets repetitive and boring. I usually finish games, but not this one.
i dont like playing as yaskue but naoe is fun, and the story at least in the opening is super engaging i havent got too far because im playing on nightmare but ive been loving the challenge and it makes every victory feel pretty canon imo.
Honestly, while Ghost of Tsushima may have a bit more of the authentic samurai atmosphere and immersion in Sengoku-era Japan, Assassin's Creed: Shadows' story has immersed me -- and impacted me -- to a much greater degree. The prologue alone had me feeling genuine emotions that I wasn't really expecting from an Assassin's Creed game, particularly regarding Naoe's story. Without spoiling anything, there's real narrative weight in her intro and emotional development that caught me off guard. The dual protagonist approach does indeed work remarkably well. Naoe's storyline is incredibly compelling, weaving personal loss with themes of honor, rememberance, and resistance in a way that feels earned. Yasuke's storyline is quite strong, as well. It's authentic to the time period, a little over-the-top in some ways -- but still grounded -- while bringing a fresh and interesting viewpoint to the setting. I don't really want to wade into the culture war nonsense, but if any of those controversies have stopped you from enjoying this game or led you to downrate it -- you're doing yourself a disservice. Judge it on its actual merits: strong writing, two fully-realized protagonists, and period-authentic stories that complement each other beautifully.

    :)
1- Fire whoever designed the level for the Kowaki boss. 2- Why are Tomeji's men disappearing and teleporting 2 kilometers away from me when I've already found them? 3- There's a skinning bug with the chests that came with the DLC. 4- You don't need to trap the path by placing shinobi at every step. You are officially making Naoe out to be an idiot. Even though she knows that the woman is a trapper, she is luring us into a trap and making us feel so stupid. In short, play the game but don't play the DLC.
Immersive experience! Much better than I thought
