I'm 30 hours in and I'm thoroughly enjoying this game, more so than any other in the franchise for the last three iterations. I've played AC Valhalla - boring as hell (beautiful vistas though); Odyssey was great but incredibly long winded, and Origins was a lot of fun, and AC Mirage felt like the beginnings of a good game but a very generic story - almost as if the dev team were 'learning their feet' so to speak. This game has something that none of those other games have. You ACTUALLY feel like an assassin; a trained killer. For the first half of the game, you feel like a quick and nimble shinobi-no-mono and that's exactly what an assassin's creed game needs to feel like. I'm not going to say this game is 10/10, but it's a solid 7.5/10 definitely better than all the others so far, save for Unity, Brotherhood and AC1 and 2
This game feels hollow af like there was no soul behind it. It isn't even a real assassins creed game in my opinion. the whole game felt like it was missing everything and then some
i wish i had known that this is another assassin's creed unity clone i would not have wasted my money on this awful game and the dlc is just as bad if this is the best ubisoft can do then i think that this will be the last assassin's creed game i will ever buy
Can't even get through the prologue without constant ctds. Attempted a few supposed fixes I found online to no avail. I'd avoid the game for the moment until there is a fix or at least a sale.

its not smooth to run at all for me, things either load or dont and texture is all over the place. cutscenes only play alittle before stopping to load among other issues it serggests downloading onto a solid state rather than hard drive
Love the game so far but one gripe is in Vahalla Eivor can climb anything and everything he can get hands on side of castle- no problem sheer cliff face- you bet statues knockers- easy peasy but in shadows you cant hardly climb over a rock without sliding half a nautical mile down a mountain and the vegetation is so thick off the roads i can hardly tell which way is up.
I knew about the drama before the game came out and i waited for it to go on sale , my review is from the POV of a working guy who doesn't have a lot of time for games anymore and this game feels like i'm coming home just to work again. I knew it wouldn't be game of the year material but not annoying to play. My rating in case you don't want to read all thatt is 5/10 for gameplay and 7/10 for the story so overall 6/10. The things that really bother me: -Locked from playing because it's day/night or not the right season. Are you kidding me? This is the most annoying thing ever in a game , we had day/night and we could change it , now it feels longer and we can't do anything about it but play it out. The same for seasons , what is the point of a change seasons button if it doesn't do anything? Change season it's the same thing as teleporting to a viewpoint or base *slowclap , innovation...just you wait legendary sumi-e i will get to you in 3 business days. -You want that nice skill? You can have it but go around and do some side activities, i'm at rank 6 and i need 16 more side stuff to get to 7 but Ubi is big braining it and if i want all achievements i need rank 10 starting from the last update, ain't nobody got time for that. -And that last point got me to "adding senseless achievements after the release" question for the devs at ubisoft , did you calculate how much time is needed for people to get level 80 and rank 10? how many new game+ do we have to do? SOME SPOILERS AHEAD!!! The story , i would say it's a 7/10 and i really wanted it to be a 10 since i like japanese culture and that's why it got up to 7, Yasuke has no point exept inclusion. He is useless for the title since he is no assassin , he is useless for the story, someone could say "well he was a slave for the Portuguese and he connected templars with Japan plus he has that Nobunaga story" Templars could just go for any reason to Japan , from trades to "we found information about an apple". If you really wanted to have 2 main characters, one of Nobunaga generals could have been a good fit , considering how things turned out in reality.
States that it is steam deck verified but it shouldn’t be. after the Ubisoft launcher it says that it’s installed on an HDD and that Ubisoft strongly recommends it’s installed on an SSD it then just crashes. Don’t recommend as I can’t get it to run on my steam deck which is my only gaming device.

    Great game
I give this game two awards: 1. Best looking game I’ve played to date. 2. Most boring game I’ve played to date. I cannot recommend due to lack of value for money. Grab it at a deep discount and use it as a tool to test your graphics card.
